JOSHUA RIZO

tHE PHOTOGRAPHER

Born and raised in Los Angeles, I've always been surrounded with culture, art, and diversity. And luckily, for most of my years I’ve also had a camera in my hand to capture it. My environment and love for taking photos guided me into a career in photography very early on.
I was a full time product photographer, but switched careers for healthcare in hopes of feeling more fulfilled. Working in Emergency Medicine I saw just how fleeting moments with your loved ones could be. I quickly realized it wasn't photography itself that wasn’t fulfilling me, it was what I was shooting that was leaving me wanting more!
Once I switched to photographing families and couples, I fell in love with the balance of art and life. Although I love the ER, I'm glad I found my way back to my passion.
Diana is the absolute love of my life and nothing I do would be possible without her. We were born 7,451 miles apart, but we found each other!
Just before covid I got majorly into plants. It started with four basic ones from home depot. Now I live in a jungle of over 50 plants.
Cars are my biggest hobby outside of photography. Every weekend I'm in the local canyons or at a Cars & Coffee.
I've had Leo, my first dog ever, for eight years now and I don't know what I did to deserve him. Little guy wants nothing else but to be next to me.
